About the speaker

Daniel is a PhD candidate in Geography at Northumbria University. His research, situated at the intersection between Political Geography and Financial Geography, is investigating the entanglements between the military, space and defence industries, and private financial capital in the production of ‘frontier technologies’ in the United States, particularly along the Rio Grande. Daniel has completed fieldwork in the United States, with a further fieldwork visit scheduled for early 2027. Outside academia, Daniel is on the advisory board for the Global Network Against Weapons and Nuclear Power in Space.
